I love the Summer Gelato colours for this Mood Challenge Board 9.
I thought I would try and get some ideas for Christmas cards this year and experiment early. I wanted something different for this Christmas.
Last year, I made a mix of cards using Lime Tart collections www.limetart.com.au and reused/recycled previous years Christmas cards.
I thought I would try and incorporate the ideas from this Mood Challenge from Jot Magazine http://jotmagazine.com/now-running-mood-board-9/
Looking at all the other creative entrants, I have not tried stencilling, stitching and cutting out small journal cards. So here I am giving it a go!
The bird is cut from a previous years Christmas card as it had the blues I needed for the challenge 🙂
I hand stitched using a glitter type thread. Couldn’t bother getting the sewing machine out as I was watching movie “Unknown” which starred Liam Neeson and didn’t want to miss too much of the movie while I was trying to create this card 😉
The feathers and ribbon were from a stash I had stored years ago!
The flower brad is from Kaisercraft.
The rest is from Lime Tart www.limetart.com.au . Even the lime green packaging I used in the card from Lime Tart!
The stencilling I used Distress Ink and inked a paint brush and gave it a stippling effect.
The bottom of the card, I used the small dauber sponge.
I’m still learning how to create a layout to focus on a certain part of the card.
Enjoy and thanks for looking!
